ANOTHER “NAME IT & CLAIM IT” Verse

Big God1
REFERENCE
Ephesians 4:32 [ESV] Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32 [Message] Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

EXPLORATION

The easy part: To be kind, be gentle. To be tenderhearted, be sensitive.

The tough part: Letting go and letting God. Believing I’m forgiven.
Ever sin that sin that you’ve sinned before and never were going to sin again.
And having sinned that sin that you’ve sinned before and never were going to sin again it’s tough to tell it to God – again!.
Perhaps that’s the worst sin, pridefully thinking He won’t understand, won’t forgive.
Do we really believe that our sin is bigger than our God, that our sin is greater than our God? That this sin, repeated yet again, is some how the last straw. “That’s it screw you, go to hell!”
Just because we seem to have a breaking point, do we really assume God does too.
That’s a pretty small God!

APPLICATION
I don’t think I’d sin have as much as I do, if I’d believe that God loves me half as much as He does.
“quickly and thoroughly” – forgiven!
Another, “name it and claim” verse that’s for real.

PRAYER

Father,
Just when I think I comprehend your love, I realize; I ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
Teach me more about you.
Let me be more like you.
Kind, tenderhearted, forgiving and that’s just for starts!
