God searching
2 Chronicles 16:9 [ESV] For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.

2 Chronicles 16:9 [Message] God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him. You were foolish to go for human help when you could have had God’s help. Now you’re in trouble—one round of war after another.”

2 Chronicles 16:9 [NLT] The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

Has God changed? I don’t think so!
Is He still searching? Absolutely!
Will He find me? Sadly, it depends what day, what hour He looks my direction; for my obedience is less than consistent.
[ESV] Will He find a heart that is blameless toward Him? Yes, but not because of any doing on my part, but because of the blood of Jesus, that has left me white as snow – blameless.
[Message] Will He find me totally committed to him? Man I’d like to say yes; but the truth  is my default is selfishness, and “totally” doesn’t seem to be in my vocabulary.
[NLT] Will He find my heart fully committed to him? Yes, more often than not! My heart loves Jesus! It’s my mind, my stomach, my emotions that don’t trust Him fully! But my heart, oh yes – my heart loves Jesus – He’ll find it fully committed to him.

Learn to live from my heart – it’s where God placed Jesus!

Get me there!
