Unveiled Faces

2 Corinthians 3:18 [ESV]  And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18 [Message] All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

Beholding the glory of the Lord … what does it look like?
A family that that each time I visit their mother at the Rehab someone from that family is with her.
A friend facing chemo treatments that has the faith to go fly fishing, leaving the details of life to the giver of life.
A faculty showing up over Labor Day weekend in Tehachapi to share with others, that others might share.
A familiar face that is edging ever so quickly to glory, she can’t speak to me anymore and I’m not sure how much she can hear. But when I prayed with her a tear came to her eye, and I, I saw God’s glory.

One degree of glory at a time, be transformed.

Thank you for glimpses of your glory.
By your Spirit, transform me.
Oh to be like Him, in who’s name we pray; Jesus!
