Isaiah 55:2 [ESV] Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
Isaiah 55:2 [ Message] Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy? Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest.
“Much of this world’s angst is actually a longing for the perfection of heaven. Blatant sin is often a misguided attempt to fill that emptiness. The god of this age had blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they search for heaven in hellish ways: excesses and perversions of every kind. However great sinners can be transformed into exceptional Christians when they turn their passionate appetites toward Jesus, Jesus’ love and forgiveness satisfy soul hunger as nothing else can. excerpt from Dear Jesus: by Sarah Young
Is it possible to get too much of Jesus?
And if we actually become satisfied in Christ how much of us do we give to Him?
Settling for what the world has to offer, compared to what you have to offer. Yeah, it’s like settling for junk food, when the best meal is the world is available.
But having partaken, how can I repay you?
Oh, I know what you’re going to say, “Never mine!”
And I know I don’t have too, but I want too!
I’ll never out give Jesus, but teach me to give more than I do.
For I am so satisfied in you.
