1 John 4:18 [ESV] There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
1 John 4:18 [Message] There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.
1 John 4:18 [NLT] Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
What is “perfected in love”?
Marveling in mercy
Lavished in Love
and the greatest of these is “love”
Get me to, “perfect love cast out fear”
Teach me, trust!
May my behavior be “want to” not “have to”
Will I ever really “get” grace? Like really understand it?
Will I ever marvel enough at your mercy? Is it fathomable?
Will I ever hope too much?
Will I ever love like You?
