1 Timothy 1:17 [ESV] To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
1 Timothy 1:17 [Message] Deep honor and bright glory to the King of All Time— One God, Immortal, Invisible, ever and always. Oh, yes!
I saw a post on Twitter today that asked the question; “If worship is truly the act of bowing down and expressing reverence to God, why does worship style become such a divisive issue among us?” My response in 140 characters or less was; “we mistakenly refer to worship style when if we r honest w/ ourselves we mean entertainment, which is about us feeling good.” 1 Tim 1:17 To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. Let get to this! With drums beats, horns blowing, guitars strumming, voices shouting, and hearts whispering! To God be the glory!
May I be brave enough the next time I hear someone complaining about the “worship style” to offer a gentle rebuke and ask: “So this “worship style” that you are complaining about, do you think God enjoys it?” Last time I checked He should be our concern when it comes to worship.
I fail to worship you in oh so many ways.
But when I am worshiping you corporately, or in community, may that “worship time” be way more about you than about me. King of ages,
to Thee be the honor and the glory. Oh yes!
