James 1:2,3 [ESV] James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
James 1:2,3 [Message] I, James, am a slave of God and the Master Jesus, writing to the twelve tribes scattered to Kingdom Come: Hello! 2 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.
It’s Saturday morning and waking up to, “count it all joy,…when you meet trails of various kinds” isn’t perhaps the verse I was looking for today. I’m thinking lets coast today, and then I’m reminded that today I could become toast. So instead of letting the “reality” of the verse get me down, how do I deal with it?
I believe the key is in the beginning of the verse, “James, a servant of God”, I need to start today there, __________ a servant of God.
Servants serve on Saturdays!
And I’m glad to do it!
I have this propensity to wake up thinking you owe me.
Why do I wake up King, just human nature?
Thanks for your Word, it helps get the sleep out of my eyes and allows me to see and think straight. Your God, and I oh I, by your grace, am servant.
How may I serve you today?
Use me to touch a life, whatever trials may come my way.
