Hannah grief lasted for years, [v.7 So it went on year by year ]and she brought it to the Lord. [v.10 She was deeply distressed and prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly] and she made a deal with God [v.11 and she vowed a vow…] but she didn’t stop there [v.12 she continued praying before the LORD ] she spoke from her heart,[v.13 speaking from her heart] troubled in spirit, pouring out her soul before the LORD. [v.15 I am a woman troubled in spirit…I have been pouring out my soul before the LORD] Speaking out of her great worry and frustration [v.16 speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation] and her pray is heard, and blessed [v.17 “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him”] and she believes [v18 went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.] and her prayer is answered in due time [v.20 in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son]

Lessons about prayer:
1] Before the prayer there was worship and sacrifice
2] Pray continually
3] Make deals you are willing to keep
4] Make prayer more about God than about you
5] Speak from your heart
6] Pour it all out
7] Be honest
8} Believe
9] Wait
10] Worship

In Jesus name, make me more like Hannah
