EXPLORATION
What are we celebrating?
How about Psalm 118:5 Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free
How about the Lord’s attributes mentioned in this Psalm: His steadfast love that endures forever. The fact that He hears and answers our prayer, that He provides freedom, companionship, is our helper, our refuge, protector, that He is our strength, our joy, our salvation and our creator.
What are we celebrating?
GOD!

APPLICATION
Psalm 118: 27 [ESV] The Lord is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us.

Psalm 118: 28,29 [ESV] You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. 29 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!

  1. Jenniffer Hosler says:

The verse of Samuel 4 Ichabod is born and glory has left Isreal. Then when you read Psalm 117-118 – The message is give thanks, because the rejected stone has become the capstone. Application of this reading is give thanks for the Lord is my strength and song.
