TODAY’S READING: 1 Kings 4 / John 21 / Psalm 88

John 21: 12a [ESV] Jesus said to them, Come and have breakfast.

This is the third time that Jesus has shown up since his resurrection each time wanting to leave the disciples with just a little more. This time he begins with a simple invitation.
“Come  and have breakfast” The invitation is to fellowship, the invitation is to community.
This was an invitation to many and an intentional meeting with one of them.

There are several lesson we can learn from the 21 chapter of John.
Be inviting. Be hospitable. Be intentional. Create community. Enjoy the fire.
Being loving to all and caring for one.
Learn to ask yourself, ask God, “who needs a little more of me while we are spending time together, who needs a little more of Jesus.
Make breakfast about someone else not yourself!
Make breakfast!

When I’m in a gathering, help me to see the one that you’d have me share your grace with. When I’m with others, help me make the opportunity about others.
Help me remember that breaking bread together, brings you glory.
Help me remember that where two or three are gathered together, you are present.
Be glorified!

P.S. for what it’s worth brothers and sisters, it was fish and bread, not chips and cheesecake if you get my drift.
