GIVE IT UP FOR JC

Today’s Reading: 1 Kings 8 / 2 Chronicles 5

REFERENCE
2 Chronicles 5: 13,14 [ESV] and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord, For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever, the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

EXPLORATION
Back in the day, a long, long time ago; when I was a little boy [both figuratively and literally] we use to sing a chorus in Sunday School. “In my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody, there …da,da,da, … there rings a melody of love.
So imagine this, Solomon is dedicating the Temple, all the priests, and people are there. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are clanging, the people are shouting; “Praise the Lord, for He is good, for his stedfast love endures forever”  and the temple is filled with a cloud, is filled with the presence of God, verse 14 says; “… for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.”

APPLICATION
In my heart there rings a melody…there rings a melody of love.
May the glory of the Lord fill your day and mine.

PRAYER
Father,
Praise Jesus! Praise Your Holy Name!
“Shout to the Lord, all the earth let it SING; glory and praises, high fives to the KING!
