DAY # 10 – 90 DAY FAST / DAY # 1 – 21 DAY DANIEL FAST
On November 23rd I started a 90 Day Fast, where I have a meal – replacement drink high in protein for breakfast, a protein bar for lunch or dinner, and one meal. What ever I wanted to eat.
Today I’m starting a 21 – DAY DANIEL FAST, the difference for me: still the replacement drink, still the protein bar, and now the meal is restricted foods. NO SUGAR, NO MEAT, NO WHITE FLOUR, lots of fruits and vegetables, brown rice, flatbread, hummus and tofu! And other than the replacement protein drink in the morning, I’m only drinking water. No Coffee, no tea, no soda.
On Dec. 23rd I’ll come off the Daniel Fast and continue on the 90 DAY FAST. Then in January I’ll start the 21 day Daniel Fast again with my church.
To hunger for God, to hear from God, and be able to help others.

TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL READING: LUKE 4
In Luke 4 we read vv. 1,2 [NLT] “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.
Notice, Jesus was “full of the Holy Spirit” and was led by the Spirit.
At verse 14 we read; “Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region.
When Jesus started the “fast” – he was led by and full of the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus finished the “fast” – he was filled with the Holy Spirit’s power.
To be led by the Spirit
To be full of the Spirit
To be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power.
