Rewriting the verse using definitions of the words in the verse.
Philippians 1:6 knowing with certainty that you can bank on Jesus who started a satisfying result through a position of influence, that is expressing an inevitable transfer of a finished work during the span of my life time until Jesus comes again.
Paraphrasing the verse: I can be self-assured, and bank on Jesus, who started a good work [making me like him] and will complete that good work when he returns.
Application: TRUST JESUS TO DO WHAT JESUS IS GOING TO DO, TODAY AND TOMORROW
Prayer: Dear Jesus,
If I have half a chance of becoming more like you, it will be because of what you are accomplishing in my life. Being like Jesus is more about Jesus than it is about me. My obligation is to trust, my responsibility is to LET GO, AND LET GOD! Holy Spirit remind me that this work of becoming more Christ like is a process, a lifelong process.
