’13 RBY – READ the BIBLE in a YEAR – Today’s Scripture – 1 Samuel 8 / Mark 6
In the 6th chapter of Mark in the New Living Translation the word amazed is used three different times
Mark 6:2 [NLT] The next Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. They asked, “Where did he get all this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles?”
Mark 6:6a [NLT]And he was amazed at their unbelief.
Mark 6:51 [NLT] Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed,
AMAZED – I have to ask myself – On any given day, am I like the people of Nazareth and just not buying this JESUS! Right away I’m going to deny it. “I’m not like them, I believe in Jesus!” But does my life reflect it? Always? Often? Some of the time?
AMAZED – Verse 6 taunts me, I don’t want to come to the end of my life and have Jesus amazed at my unbelief.
AMAZED – Verse 51, this is my prayer, that like the disciples – when Jesus shows up – I’m totally amazed – and living a life that show it.
AMAZING FAITH – Have it? Want it?
Jesus amazing offers it to us…
