SURROUNDING FAITH

’13 RYB – READ the BIBLE in a YEAR                                                                                        Today’s Scripture: 1 Samuel 25 / Psalm 125

Surrounding Faith

Psalm 125:2 &4 [NLT]  Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever. 4 O Lord, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you.

Ever need an encouraging word? I was reading Psalm 125 today and these two verses spoke to me. When I read; “Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever” – I got this picture of Jesus with his arms around me and my family. GROUP HUG – and we melted in his presence, sensing his provision.

Then when I read verse 4; “O Lord, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you.” I prayed, “Oh Lord, as for me and my family, may we forever be ‘tuned in’ to you and Lord, work through us to do good to those you place in our lives.”

Nothing like a Holy Hug to cheer us on to good deeds. Oh Lord, surround us with your love, mercy, and grace. Surround us!
