“HANDS ON” FAITH

’13 READ the BIBLE in a YEAR                                                                                                 Today’s Readings: 2 Samuel 8 / 1 Chronicles 18, 19 / John 8

Living our faith

Sometimes it’s a book, sometimes a paragraph, sometimes a sentence and sometimes a word. We never know what the Holy Spirit is going to use to touch our lives, to change our lives, to use us to touch other lives.

For me this year the word is FAITH. Hebrews 11:6  says: And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

So this year I am learning about faith and when I read John 8:31 [NLT] Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. I realized that faith is more than head knowledge, it’s more than being able to define it. I realized that faith is more than heart knowledge, it’s more than being able to feel it. Faith is about “hands on” knowledge.

Faith isn’t just believing in God, faith is about how we act, what we do, BECAUSE we BELIEVE in GOD.

Faith is “Hands on!”
